"Bibles and Brunch - Carry the Word"

This was my very first vendor event and I was so anxious leading up to it. I didn't know what to expect. Did I have everything I needed for my display table? Did I have enough books? The questions swirled around in my head. The day finally arrived and nerves vanished and made room for excitement!
I was the first vendor to arrive and my daughter and I excitingly started setting up our table. It took all of 5-7 minutes to get everything displayed just right. As more vendors arrived, I noticed how much more elaborate their table setups were. There were plants, posters, picture frames, table runners and even a flagpole. I quickly started scrolling on Pinterest to find display table ideas for book vendors. I started ordering various items to spruce up my table for the events to come. The objective was to make my table more appealing for kids and adults!
As the doors to the venue opened, women and children flooded in. They began buzzing around all the tables and perusing the various items on display. I enjoyed interacting with women and kids, talking with them about the book and how it came to be! It was also great to see my family and friends had come to support me.
Once the host arrived, the event got under way. She introduced herself and the story behind the event. We prayed over the event and breakfast and started chowing down. During breakfast we had a young lady speak on consecrating yourself and told us all about her past and what God has brought her through. It was a powerful session!
We also has a session where we decorated canvas tote bags using watercolors and iron on patches. The host even raffled off some nice prizes of which my daughter, London, won the big prize at the end!
This was such a great first event and I enjoyed every minute of it! I made some sales and most of all connected with some really great people.
Stay Tuned and Happy Reading!
